[Insight-developers] SetupForDevelopment.sh finishes but doesn't think it has been run

I ran SetupForDevelopment.sh as usual and everything seemed to go
smoothly. However, I then tried to commit:

[doriad at daviddesktop ITK]$ git commit -m "ENH: Allow ITK to compile
with gcc 4.6"

but got:

Your work tree has not been configured for ITK development.
Paste the following commands into a shell:
 ./Utilities/SetupForDevelopment.sh

I ran it again just for fun but the same error occurred.

Any suggestions?
