Thanks to all of you who have adopted ITK bugs

     http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK_Adopt_a_Bug_Program

We have received several questions about procedures,
so here are some clarification comments:

A) What is the meaning of the bug tags:

     * "acknowledged"
     * "feedback"
     * "assigned"
     * "resolved"

Answer:

The meaning of the Bug tags is described in
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK_Procedure_for_Contributing_Bug_Fixes

See in particular the table:
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK_Procedure_for_Contributing_Bug_Fixes#A_Bug.27s_Life

B) How should the adopter proceed after signing up for the program:

Answer:

1) Create your accounts:
http://www.itk.org/Wiki/ITK_Adopt_a_Bug_Program#Accounts_to_Create
    Of particular importance are the MANTIS and CDash accounts.

2) Once your accounts are setup,
    your mission is the following:

2.1) Ask the current developer to whom the bug is assigned to see
      if she/he is working on a fix, or plan to do that soon.

2.2) If the developer is busy with other things, you can take the
      matter in your own hands:

     * Assign the bug to yourself
     * Explore potential fixes for the bug
     * Post emails to the Developers list, describing those fixes
     * If you don't receive objections, then you commit the fix and
       monitor the Dashboard to make sure that any potential secondary
       effects are taken care of.

Please let us know if you have any other questions,

    Thanks

       Luis
