I have a set of automatic builds that contact the CVS server, checkout 
the latest version of the code, build and test it, and submit the build 
result back to the testing dashboard. 

Quite frequently (in the last few weeks, there has been a failure during 
at least one of the automatic tests each night) the operation of 
checking out the latest version of the code or of submitting the results 
back, has been prevented by an intermittent timeout in contacting the 
itk.org server.
