Folks, I think the problem with this test was due to configuration issues. I deleted the .cxx, rebuilt, and the tests passed. I forced a commit and all should be fine on all platforms. I do see a message: "There was a configuration problem on your plateform: Invalid argument" on the SGI when the test runs. Bill
