[Imstk-developers] Spatial hashing

Added as an issue. I couldn't find any spatial hashing classes (or just general purpose hash tables) inside of VTK, but VTK is large so it's quite possible I missed it.

We probably should have multiple implementations for spatial hashing, one for dense, preferably bounded locations (but wrap around in case data values exceed this grid) and one for sparse locations.

Not in iMSTK as of now. But we have plans to incorporate Tansel's spatial hashing based collision detection from simmedtk.

Can you add this to the issue tracker?

we could look into using hash table data structure implementations in VTK
