<div>I have modified the NeedleBiopsy example to use the Ascension 3DG trakSTAR tracker. On my desktop computer everything seems to work fine - tracking is very responsive.</div><div><br></div><div>However, I need to be able to run this on a MacBook Pro running Win 7. It runs, but tracking has about a two second lag, from the time you move the tracker tool, until the screen updates to show the new position.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I've checked the following things:</div><div><br></div><div>1. Both machines are Core i7 processors with 8GB of memory running Win7 x64, so I don't think it's a lack of compute horsepower.</div>
<div>2. Simply moving the sliders to reslice the image is equally responsive on both machines, so I don't think it's a matter of graphic/drawing throughput updating the images.</div><div>3. Both are running a Release build.</div>
<div>4. The Ascension provided tools show the same response time to tool movement, so I don't think it's the USB link or another hardware issue between the MacBook and the Ascension unit.</div><div>5. I have disabled the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager, which is know to slow some screen operations.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Is anyone familiar with any IGSTK behavior like this? I'm thinking maybe something in the PulseGenerator functionality is defaulting to a different value on the two machines.</div><div><br></div><div>
Thanks,</div><div>Steve</div>
