Hello Stefan,

I don't see any other quick solution other than implementing your own
e.g. "ImageToImageSpatialObject" friend class, just like
ImageReaderToImageSpatialObject.

The same for the mesh case.

IGSTK ImageSpatialObjects were designed to get the ITK from readers
(or from some real-time input device, such as a frame grabber), not
for data coming from on-the-fly processing.

But just like it is requested in your application, I think such
modification would definitely make sense.

most IGSTK developers are on vacation right now, so you might get some
delay in their responses
