[IGSTK-Users] how to only update the tool in igstkView3D and fix the other renders

Dear All,

I was wondering if the following could be possible:

what I am trying to do is to have a "hole" in my volume rendering and
operate my tool thru it (simulating what the surgeon is actually doing
and seeing)

I got a nice volume rendering, I got the window on it (cropping tool)
and I can move my tool, but everything turned up too slow ...

how can I set the volume render in an igstkView3D fixed (and of
course, disable the window interactor) and only update my tool's
spatial object

I tried the following:

- stopped refreshing that view (the other views updated at standard
rate, but I still want to update my tool in the 3D view)
- added a "locker" to my spatial object (the one that holds the volume
render) so that the method "UpdateRepresentationProcessing" is skipped
this works fine, but still I don't want the vtkRenderer to update
the actor attached to the spatial object that holds the volume render

any ideas?

thank you,
sebastian
