[Dart] New DART Release?

Hi Mathieu,

The main reason I asked for input on 1.4 was to see if anyone was
still using it. The only platform of note is Mac OSX 10.3.9 (which I
have at home). But otherwise, I think 1.5 and 1.5 (or Java 5 and Java
6) are available for everything else.

The main reason for upgrading are the new foreach syntax, it's really
handy. Many of the libraries that Dart uses are now being distributed
for 5 and 6 only, which also makes a difference.

If one wanted to support 1.4, it's possible with only minor code
changes and I'm happy to post the packages, but we will not be
officially building them (unless you send beer).

Best regards,
-dan

Dan/Jim ? Anyone ?

Is there a document explaining why java 1.4.2 was being dropped ?

As a side note, chapter 2 of Dart.pdf still says:

"The distributions are built using JDK 1.4."

thanks

available (as of May 16th). I don't recall getting an announcement on
this (and couldn't find one on the list archives). How can I be
notified of future releases?
