Hello forum,

I am trying to deformably register 2 CT datasets (512x512x88) using the daemons algorithm, and it is taking much longer than I would expect. I am using the symmetric daemons method, with 25 iterations and sd of 2.5, and it takes 35-45
minutes using 8 cpu cores (4 physical, 4 virtual). From my understanding in the literature, daemons algorithms should be fast taking only a few minutes at most. I have attached my code and was looking for any guidance on if I am doing something dumb/inefficient,
or if the ITK implementation is known to be inefficient, or if I am just wrong in how much time I expect the registration should take. I also attached my CMakeCache.txt file from my ITK build, according to that I have a proper release build (not debug), but
maybe there is something else I should look for in terms of efficiency (special optimizations that should be turned on but are not). Thank you very much.
