[CMake] Reactivation of configuration-specific Xcode settings bug

Hello,

I also would like to see a fix to this issue because configuration-specific
settings would be very useful to my project:

Back in December, the reporter attached a possible fix -- Is there any
chance anyone is available to take a look at it?
