The solution is in cmake master now:

I guess your options are to wait for cmake 2.8.11 to be released (in a few
weeks) or backport a similar patch to your current cmake version package
(then re-build all packages using that patched cmake to generate the config
files).
For clarity, this is not related to cmake being found in /bin. It's about
where the Config.cmake files are found.
