[CMake] Compiling with Visual Studio 2008

I 'm trying to compile a VTK package with visual Studio 2008 compiler
and I get the error that "The C compiler is not able to compile a
simple test. The output is that : The solution file is from a previous
version of visual studio.

I noticed that the latest version cmake doesn't have support for the
Visual studio 2008 yet  and I was wondering if anyone has figured out
a work around this issue.
