[CMake] What is the status of CMake on DJGPP?

One of the PLplot developers has been maintaining a special DJGPP build of
PLplot for some time, and I was wondering if it would be possible for him to
use our existing CMake build system instead?

Google searching shows that there is a lot of interest in CMake on DJGPP,
but I haven't yet figured out from such searches if CMake is expected to
work on that platform or not.

If CMake is expected to work on DJGPP, what advice should I pass on to him
about using CMake on DJGPP? He has very little cmake experience and I have
no DJGPP experience and no access to any kind of windows platform. However,
there are other PLplot developers (such as Arjen Markus who is subscribed to
this list) that have gotten the existing PLplot CMake build system to work
on Cygwin, MinGW/MSYS, and bare windows so with the right advice we might be
able to bring our DJGPP developer up to speed with our CMake build system.

On the other hand, if CMake is not expected to work on DJGPP, it would be
nice to know that as well so we won't waste our time with that combination.
