I think I may have found the problem.   Can you edit the file:
CMake/Modules/Platform/IRIX64.cmake
Change this line:

IF(NOT CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_GNUCXX)

To this:

IF(CMAKE_COMPILER_IS_GNUCC)


Then re-run cmake and see if it works.
