1. there is only one build language, not m4+shell, plus make, etc.
2. it is dead-easy to create simple projects
3. it can create KDevelop and XCode projects, maybe more (CodeBlocks ?) in the 
future
4. it is fast
5. if you ever need to port in the future
6. KDE uses it
