[CMake-Promote] Possible FAQ entries

I think these are good candidates for FAQ entries. At least, I seem to
recall the first one asked a lot.

Anyway, I just thought I'd initiate a thread (mostly for archival,
until one of us finds the time to make the proper entry) with commonly
asked questions that we can use to revamp the FAQ.
