I also feel a bit foolish in that the author posted to the CMake list 
very recently, and I didn't notice that it was a 3D project or anything 
else about it.  I was probably worrying about something of my own at the 
time!  His post was entitled "Combined Static Libraries" 
http://public.kitware.com/pipermail/cmake/2006-August/010505.html .  He 
said, "I have been evaluating CMake as a replacement for our current 
build system, ...."

I'll look at whether it's worth Chickenizing.  It actually came up on my 
radar when searching for "OpenGL 3D engine BSD license" and not anything 
to do with CMake per se.  I used to be familiar with the various major 
open source 3D engines out there, but this one escaped my notice.
