Purpose

The purpose of this homework is to engage students' critical thinking on the implications of Open Source.

What To Do

Students will write an Essay on the social, political and/or economical implications of the widespread adoption of Open Source

You should base your essay on reading from different sources, in particular from the books available in the RPI Open Source Library.

Note that the essay MUST contain *your* own opinions and analysis, not just a summary of what you have read from other sources.

Examples of Subjects

The following is a list of example subject that you could address, the list is just given as an indication of potential subjects. You are strongly encouraged to explore other topics.
