Summary0007836: Add subtotals of all columns for *each group* on the main index.php?project= page
DescriptionSo, rather than a single "Totals" row at the very bottom, I would suggest a "SubTotal" row for *each group* at the bottom of each group. And then some small bit of white space before the next group. And then the grand total "Totals" as-is but at the very bottom after some white space after the last group's SubTotal.

And then some fields in the generated HTML for *each group* that represents the total number of warnings+errors for the group. And the total number of builds in the group.

Links for the "last good date" and the "cvs checkout" string could be placed somewhere in the totals row (maybe with one of those little "info" icons...?)

A good group would be defined as "number of builds > 20" (or some per-group settable threshold) and "number of warnings < 1" and "number of errors < 1" (or some per-group settable thresholds)

I've filed this issue to track this feature request:

Hi Dave,

Not sure how we would display that information but it sounds like a good idea. Feel free to log a feature request.

Hey Julien / CDash-ers,

For each group on the dashboard (Nightly Expected, Nightly, Continuous, etc.) I would like to have a single number that represents the total of all errors and warnings (update, configure, build and test). Essentially the number of red or yellow boxes in the group's main page display...

Then, you could say, "if the Nightly Expected total error and warning count is 0 (or maybe less than some settable threshold)" then it is a good build.

Then..... you could write a query that displays a page that says:
"The last good Nightly Expected build for this project was this nightly time stamp."

And even include a cvs checkout line for that exact time stamp so that an external observer would always be able to retrieve the last known good build directly from CVS 100% automatically.

What do you think? Worthy of a feature request in the bug tracker?

Cheers,
Dave
